How I Got 4K Views + 45 Subscribers in Just 8 Days by Creating 7 YouTube Shorts with AI

Alright, I know what you're thinking: “4,000 views and 45 subscribers? That’s not exactly mind-blowing.” And you’re right—at first glance, it might not seem like a lot. But let me explain!

With all the stories of viral YouTube success floating around, it’s easy to feel like these numbers are small. But this is my story—completely real and unfiltered. And what’s surprising? It worked better than I expected.

The Real Shock: The Likes!

What really blew my mind wasn’t just the views, but the likes! Some of my videos got 100% likes. These weren’t fake or paid likes either—real people genuinely enjoyed the content. And that’s where I saw the magic starting to happen!

Let’s Take a Step Back

I’ve been on YouTube since the early 2010s (back when YouTube felt more like a community). But I never really used it for marketing. My older videos were all about ranking in search results, which brought in views but not the kind of engagement that builds a community.

I was obsessed with keywords and SEO, so my videos got views, but they didn’t get many likes, comments, or real interaction. Then, about a year ago, I got curious about using AI to make YouTube Shorts. So I tried it out.

Being impatient, though, I uploaded a few videos and didn’t get instant results. Out of the few I posted, most didn’t get any new subscribers. Only one video pulled in more than 10. Naturally, I thought, “This just doesn’t work,” and I gave up.

But something unexpected happened.

Fast Forward 8 Months…

Eight months later, I decided to randomly upload three more Shorts over three days. I wasn’t expecting much, so I walked away again.

If you’re wondering why I’m inconsistent, it’s because this is just a side project for me. It’s a fun way to try out ideas when I need a break from running my main online business. (By the way, if you’re curious about what I do, feel free to check it out here.)

Anyway, after about seven months, things started to pick up. Some of the Shorts I had posted ages ago suddenly gained momentum. A few hit thousands of views, and I ended up with 51 subscribers—not viral, but enough to get my attention. Especially since these were AI-generated videos less than 10 seconds long!

Jump to September 2024…

Curious to see if this could work again, I decided to upload more Shorts. And guess what? Over just 8 days, I saw steady views, likes, and real engagement.

I’m not saying this is viral content, but it’s consistent. And with such short videos, seeing steady growth is exciting. Plus, the fact that my videos are still sitting at 100% likes (with the lowest being 92.9%) is pretty amazing. I’m starting to believe the YouTube algorithm might keep pushing my videos as long as I stay consistent.

How I Make These in Just 30 Minutes a Day

Here’s the best part: I use ChatGPT and two other AI tools to make these Shorts, and it takes me just 5 to 10 minutes per video. That’s it!

I could probably create them in bulk if I wanted to, but for now, I’m spending about 30 minutes each day making three Shorts. My goal is three videos a day, each no longer than 10 seconds, with AI doing most of the work.

You’re probably thinking, “This sounds way too simple.” And you’d be right—it really is! But that’s why I’m so excited about it. The key here is consistency, and honestly, anyone can do this with just a bit of creativity and the right tools.

So, Why Am I Sharing This Now?

You might wonder why I’m not waiting to share this until I hit bigger numbers. Well, I want to show you that anyone can start seeing results with just a bit of effort—and AI.

If you’re interested in seeing the full process or learning more about the tools I’m using, let me know. I’d be happy to write a follow-up article with all the details.

This isn’t the result of a long-term project. It’s happening right now, and I plan to keep updating you on how it goes. I genuinely believe I can reach 30,000 subscribers by the end of the year. So, if you want to follow along, stay tuned—I’ll be sharing my progress every step of the way!
